Honest limits

Care layer does not repair damaged wood.

If a scratch has cut through the finish, the wood is grey or black, the finish is peeling, the edges are lifting or the floor is unstable, you may need parquet sanding or parquet repair .

What does parquet renovation without sanding mean?

It means no wood is removed with a sanding machine. The treatment may be deep cleaning, a protective maintenance layer or a specialist recoating system for factory UV-finished parquet using LOBA 2K Contact.

Is renovation without sanding suitable for deep scratches?

Not always. If the protection has worn through to the wood, localised or full sanding and a new finishing system may be required.

What is the difference between a care product and a lacquer finish?

A maintenance layer is a thinner protective coating for light signs of use and may be removable or permanent, depending on the product. A topcoat provides new mechanical and chemical resistance and requires more rigorous preparation.
