Confirm the system
Find out if the surface is non-film-forming oiled, UV-oiled, hard-waxed or waxed.
Penetrating oil, UV-oil and hard-wax systems create different surfaces — so they require different care treatments.
Use documentation, the previous treatment and a test area to confirm absorbency and the type of oil system. If maintenance oil cannot penetrate, it may remain sticky or patchy. A film-forming care product or wax is often more suitable for factory UV-oiled or hardwax-oiled systems.

Use ParkettSoap or an approved cleaner with a minimum amount of water; the wood must be completely dry before oiling.
NatureOil or ParkettOil for absorbent surfaces; Permanent OilCare or NatureWax for non-absorbent systems after verification.
Always remove excess oil; proper care should not leave puddles or wet streaks.
Because of the risk of self-ignition, fully immerse oil-soaked cloths and pads in water or store them in a sealed, fire-resistant container.

The surface may not be absorbent enough, the product may have been applied too thickly, or excess may not have been removed. Factory UV-oiled surfaces often require a different route.
Localised refreshing is often possible on non-film-forming oiled surfaces, but the colour transition must be checked on a test area.
Oil generates heat as it cures by oxidation. Crumpled cloths or pads may self-ignite, so make them safe immediately after use.
The surface type, depth of damage and previous care determine whether the correct route is cleaning, maintenance layer, oil, 2K Contact or sanding.
