Clean film, correct gloss

Care for lacquered parquet

Lacquered parquet is maintained with a little water, the right chemistry and a timely protective care layer.

A routine cleaner removes dirt but does not renew the protective film. InvisibleCare, ParkettCare, FloorCare and PermanentCare serve different purposes, so match the sheen, finish type and whether later stripping is required.

Process

From diagnosis to the correct LOBA layer.

01

Dry cleaning

Vacuum or use a soft mop to remove dust and grit before the particles can scratch the lacquer.

02

Wet cleaning

Dilute Cleaner and apply it with a well-wrung mop; standing water must always be avoided.

03

Assessment of the existing film

Grey edges, stickiness or uneven sheen may indicate that stripping with CareRemover is required.

04

Protective care

Apply the selected care product over the entire area in one pass without touching up during drying.

Products for this route

Each product has one clear role.

STOP

When should this route not be used?

A maintenance layer is not a new lacquer finish. If the protection has worn through to the wood, another care-product application will not provide a lasting repair.

Next treatment

If surface care is not enough.

All questions →
How often does lacquered parquet need protective care?

Actual wear determines the interval. As a guide, LOBA recommends at least annual care under normal use and more often under commercial traffic.

Why do stains remain after cleaning?

Common causes include applying too much product, using a dirty mop, leaving old film residue or touching up a coating that has begun to dry.

Can I apply InvisibleCare to 2K InvisibleProtect?

Yes. Current LOBA guidance also lists InvisibleCare for maintaining extra-matt and satin-finished surfaces; nevertheless, test it on a sample area first.

The surface type, depth of damage and previous care determine whether the correct route is cleaning, a maintenance layer, oil, 2K Contact or sanding.
